English Language Proficiency Skills Development

In this module, students have the opportunity to further develop and improve their English proficiency skills. All courses offered in this module are taught by qualified English native speakers. Here is a short list of some of the courses, in which students can enrol: Foundation Course for Speaking, Foundation Course for Grammar & Writing, Oral Formulation and Translation (Introductory, Intermediate, Advanced and Exam Candidates).

Tip 1:

In addition to such courses, students may also take advantage of other university resources, such as the language lab facilities located in KG I. Here students have the opportunity to practice their English language skills through independent study.

Tip 2:

Another way in which students can improve their language skills through independent study is participation in language exchange, also known as tandem. In a language tandem, native speakers of two different languages pair up in order to practice speaking and listening skills in the target language. To find a partner, students may either post ads on the university “schwarzen Bretter” (bulletin boards) or contact one of the Erasmus coordinators.
